Heritage Cottage Conversion
Adelaide City
Design: 2012
Construction: 2013/14
My single fronted detached heritage listed cottage (1892) in Adelaide was in need of renovations. After a family member had a very professional experience with Glasshouse Projects, I decided to go with them for my renovations, both in designing my new space and then in building it. As the property is heritage listed and required adherence to heritage guidelines, Don Iannicelli, Director of Glasshouse, worked closely with Adelaide City Council to design and deliver a successful outcome.
I have only praise in working with Glasshouse Projects, who came up with fantastic ideas for the space, including finding the perfect colours and textures to complement the heritage character. The process of building was also managed to great satisfaction, with enthusiasm and assistance right from the start and there was no issue that was not dealt with calmly and professionally. I am thrilled with the end result which has transformed the cottage from dark and closed, to bright and spacious and importantly, has not only given me more living space but a better overall use of the space. The amazing changes and improvements have also delighted Adelaide City Council.
